We Were Kings is a song that's heavy with the burden of nostalgia. Reflecting on a hedonistic relationship, it tries to recapture those moments where it seemed the sun would never set. It's a celebration of the dizzying highs, grappling to make those moments last and finally coming to terms with the cruel transience of it all

"Wonderful ballad-esque alt-pop tune" - PopWrapped

"London's glam pop duo" - Afropunk

"Glorious, glamorous pop music - that's SUNS... 'We Were Kings'. A flamboyant introduction, the chorus is perfect for these long hot days." - Clash

"This really is fucking great. Seriously… it's what we should all be championing " - The 405

SUNS are a London based duo, numbering Andy McDonnell and Michael Tyrrell. Previously working with artists as varied as the likes of Crystal Fighters, Petite Noir and Scott Walker, the pair boast enormous studio experience.

So, naturally, their material has high production values. Glorious feasts for the ears; their epic pop exudes a real sense of glamour, and a charisma that pervades each track.

Following their sold out shows at The Waiting Room and The Sebright Arms, SUNS are now ready to deliver the 'We Were Kings EP'. Mastered by Mandy Parnell and mixed by Neil Comber, Donald Clarke and SUNS themselves, the collection delivers four accomplished tracks that can only spell great things for this exciting Alt-Pop duo.
