Manchester-born London-based producer and DJ TCTS aka Sam O’Neill is back with a brand new EP. This is the ascendant O’Neill’s second for MTA following last summer’s ‘Games’ EP which saw support from the likes of Annie Mac, Huw Stephens, MistaJam, Zane Lowe, Rob Da Bank and many more.
Famed for co-writing A Guy Called Gerald’s original acid house classic ‘Voodoo Ray’, fellow Manchester artist Aniff Akinola features on the EP’s rolling, infectious second track ‘Coupe De Ville’ where he waxes lyrical on the Cadillac, lending his laid-back, distinctive voice to surging house keys and effervescent drumwork.

We previously described TCTS and Aniff Akinola’s house-rap hybrid “Coupe De Ville,” from TCTS’ upcoming Body EP, as “breezy,” “effervescent,” and “generally irresistible.” That’s correct: Even I love it, and I’m someone who has spent my whole life fielding people’s terrible “Coupe De Ville” jokes. (Also Cruella de Vil, who spells her name totally different from me.) Anyway, the song is a total jam, and the video - with Akinola’s disembodied head against a computerized background - makes it even more fun. Watch it! -- Stereogum
