Casey Crescenzo and the Dear Hunter just released Act IV: Rebirth In Reprise last week. Serving as the fourth installment in their conceptual narrative series, it's arguably the band's best work to date. One of the album's singles, "Waves," is a fan-favorite from the 15-track effort and the band has just shared a beautiful visual accompaniment for the cut. You can view the video above.
Of the album, founder and frontman Casey Crescenzo recently explained to fans and supporters: “I want to thank everyone who has been waiting 6 years for this, encouraging every tangent I explored. Years upon years of the question,"when will you do Act IV", met with a variety of vague responses, and often accompanied by a telling sigh. To be given the opportunity to take the time I felt I needed with this album, and to properly, organically, and confidently approach this series of records again, provided a creative bliss that I can't possibly explain. Now, after a long gestation, the music is yours. A moment I wasn't always sure I'd see, is finally here, and at risk of arrogantly quoting myself in summation: I owe it all to you.
