"Pearly Gates" from Tomorrow's Hits out now on Sacred Bones Records

The concept for this vid was inspired by '70s American road movies — Two-Lane Blacktop, Roger Corman, and B-picture biker movies like Werewolves on Wheels. We shot this on hi-8 on the freezing cold roads of Ocean Parkway in Long Island, sometimes utilizing as many as four cars at once to capture the scene. This video is 100% independently made. All the actors are friends, all special effects, technical tools and props were built by the band and crew, and it was directed and shot by longtime friend and collaborator, Brian Chillemi.

This week marked the release of Tomorrow's Hits, the latest album from scraggly New York rock group the Men. Today, they've treated album track "Pearly Gates" to a music video.

The song, a mix of driven guitars, blasting horns and some honky-tonk piano, is treated to some equally vintage-leaning visuals as a leather-clad dude cruises around, walks along the beach and eventually stumbles across a terrifying cult ritual.
