Description

Music video by The Raveonettes performing Attack Of The Ghost Riders. (C) 2002 SONY BMG MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT

The Raveonettes are a Danish alternative rock duo, consisting of Sune Rose Wagner (born 1973, S√łnderborg, Denmark) on guitar, instruments, and vocals, and Sharin Foo (born 12 December 1979, Copenhagen) on bass, guitar and vocals. Their music is characterized by close two-part vocal harmonies inspired by The Everly Brothers coupled with hard-edged electric guitar overlaid with liberal doses of noise, very similar to The Jesus and Mary Chain. Their songs juxtapose the structural and chordal simplicity of '50s and '60s rock with intense electric instrumentation, driving beats, and often dark lyrical content, similar to another of the band's influences, The Velvet Underground.

"Attack of the Ghostriders" is a single by The Raveonettes released in 2002.

The 1950s-style music video, in which a convict is executed in the electric chair but returns as a Johnny Blaze-type ghost rider, was directed by Peder Pedersen. It got censored on MTV.
