"Nightlife" is the second advance single from The Wet Secrets' new album FREE CANDY. The album will be released on February 4, 2014. The video stars Joe Flaherty of SCTV / Freaks and Geeks fame, revisiting his cult character Count Floyd. The video is directed by Trevor Anderson, who is also the drummer for The Wet Secrets.

"Nightlife" - both the song and the music video - foreshadows the dominant tone and themes of The Wet Secrets' upcoming album FREE CANDY... deceptively sunny songs about death, disappointment, and doin' it.

The Wet Secrets official website:

It's hard out there for a vampire these days, and Count Floyd (a.k.a. SCTV alum Joe Flaherty) is helping get the point across in the video for the Wet Secrets' bouncy Free Candy cut "Nightlife."

The Monster Chiller Horror Theatre host kicks off his night by renting a copy of Tweelight from the library, but seems pretty unimpressed with the uninspired romance flick for the undead. Floyd gives up on sinking his teeth into a bowl of popcorn, and instead he hits a goth club only to be given the short shrift from the bar staff once the tween bloodsuckers cut to the front of a drink line.

You can see the count cope with the younger generation in the video, which was directed by Wet Secrets drummer Trevor Anderson.
