A former member of David Bowie's band, Canadian singer-songwriter Emm Gryner pitched in on astronaut Chris Hadfield's viral "Space Oddity" cover, then collaborated with the Canadian spaceman once again on 2014's "So Easy." She's ready to focus on a different musically collaborative project right now, though, turning her attention back to Trent Severn.
The three-piece bring together Gryner, Dayna Manning and Lindsay Schindler, and they've re-teamed and started work on the follow-up to 2015's Trillium. A full-length Manning-produced effort titled Portage is set for release on April 7, and you can follow its progress and pre-order a copy over at the album's PledgeMusic page.
First, though, we're giving you the exclusive first look at the brand new video for "Take Me Back." It captures the folksy trio paying homage to Ontario, spouting lines like "Lake Huron's my west coast" as they showcase glorious golden hay fields, the Toronto Islands, Parliament Hill and Niagara Falls.
According to the plaid and gingham-wearing bandmates, the clip "will leave those who are living away from Ontario with the yearning to return, and remind those who are here of the nostalgia that can be found in the everyday." -- Exclaim!
