Description

The Unforgettable Fire is the fourth studio album by Irish rock band U2, released in 1984. Far more ambient and abstract than the hard-hitting War, it was at the time the band’s most marked change in direction, featuring atmospheric sounds and lyrics Bono has described as "sketches". The album contains tributes to Martin Luther King Jr. and Elvis Presley. The Unforgettable Fire produced the band's biggest hit at the time, "Pride (In the Name of Love)", as well as the live favorite "Bad", a song about heroin addiction. The album was the group's first collaboration with Brian Eno and Daniel Lanois.

"The Unforgettable Fire" is the fourth track on U2's 1984 album of the same name and was released as the album's second single. The song was inspired by an art exhibition of the same name by victims of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The song became the band's third Top 10 hit in the UK, reaching #6 on the UK Singles Chart and #8 on the Dutch singles chart, but it was yet to break them into the U.S. The track's string arrangement was by Irish jazz musician Noel Kelehan.

myspace videos cleanup

Phase 1 of the myspace cleanup is done. All dead videos (about 6500+) should be gone. The rest was checked and is still working.

Phase 2 is far more complicated and will take substantially longer; I will gradually try to replace/repost as much as I can (find) over the next weeks/months.

Thanks for your patience.
