Los Angeles-based group UNA, a self-proclaimed “ménage à trois of head, heart, and soul,” delivers an outstanding set of visuals for their latest track, “We Are The Lonely.”
Opening on the set of a ’50s film, the video focuses on the cast’s two main characters - a male and female whose romance appears to have spilled offscreen. In tune with the brooding nature of the record, the clip’s storyline unfolds mysteriously as a series of flashbacks sheds light on a problematic backstory. The tension among the group builds gradually as they leave the film set and leads up to a dramatic reveal stirred to life by Jennifer Nice’s haunting vocals.
"We Are The Lonely" is moody - almost macabre - and its cinematic vibe lends itself perfectly to the plot-driven visual treatment. Watch above, and look out for more from UNA. -- P&P
